Baggage Policy

arrow down

It's important to note that baggage allowance can differ depending on the flight route. However, the following is as a general rule:

Carry-on Baggage

Passengers are given a free carry-on baggage allowance of 9 kg. This baggage must fit within the dimensions of 55 cm (21.6") x 35 cm (13.8") x 25 cm (9.8").

Checked Baggage

Checked baggage allowance will differ depending on the route flown.

On certain flights, passengers will be given a free checked baggage allowance of 20 kg, with no limit on the number of bags.

On other flights, passengers will be given a free checked baggage allowance of 32 kg, with a maximum combined weight of 32 kg.

Note: It's important that passengers follow the checked baggage allowance given for their flight. This can be found out by checking the e-ticket fo the flight or by contacting Alternative Airlines or the airline directly.

Cabin Classes

arrow down

Swiftair passengers can fly in Economy Class or Business Class.

Economy Class

Economy Class is Swiftair's most affordable cabin class, perfect for passengers that are looking for a comfortable journey but aren't bothered about additional perks.

Seats

Depending on which plane is used for the flight, seats are set out in either a 2 x 2 or 3 x 3 formation.

Business Class

While Swiftair Business Class is in the same section of the plane as Economy Class, it gives passengers a little extra with an enhanced service that includes additional perks such as a welcome drink, complimentary in-flight food, priority boarding, reading materials and a larger baggage allowance.

Seats

Seats are set out in a 2 x 2 or 3 x 3 formation. Unlike some other Business Class seats, these seats are very similar to the seats that you would find in Economy Class. Swiftair Business Class seats do give a little extra legroom but less when compared to other airlines.

The main perks in Swiftair Business Class come from the extras in service and food and drink, rather than the seats on the plane.

In-flight Entertainment & WIFI

There's no in-flight entertainment system installed on Swiftair flights.

Passengers in Business Class are given magazines and newspapers to enjoy throughout the flight.

Passengers in Economy Class are not given any materials for in-flight entertainment.

Food & Drink

Food and drink are available to purchase from the in-flight cabin crew once the plane is airborne.

Passengers are able to pre-order an in-flight meal before the date of departure if they wish. Otherwise, the food and drink offering consists of light snacks and alcoholic, soft, hot and cold beverages.

Passengers in Business Class are given snacks and refreshments, as well as a full in-flight meal. All food and drink are complimentary with a Business Class ticket.

Check-In

arrow down

We advise that passengers arrive at least 3 hours prior to their flight departure time.

Online Check-in

There's no online check-in directly on the airline's website. However, if the airline is operating a flight on behalf of another airline, online check-in may be available through that airline's website.

Airport Check-in

If online check-in is unavailable or passengers would prefer to check-in at the airport, this can be done by visiting the airport of departure with the relevant travel documents.

Frequent Flyer Programme

arrow down

Swiftair doesn't have a frequent flyer program. However, if a passenger books a flight on another airline that Swiftair is operating on behalf of, that passenger can still earn miles/points if the airline has its own frequent flyer program.

For example, if a passenger books a flight on an Iberia flight operated by Swiftair, that passenger is still eligible to earn Avios points on the flight at the same rate that they would on an ordinary Iberia flight operated by Iberia.
