About South Pacific Airlines

South Pacific Airlines was a passenger airline based in Hong Kong. The airline was founded in 2017 and was expected to begin flying operations during the first half of 2019, however had shut down during their start-up phase. The airline was to be based at Hong Kong International Airport, and was rumoured to operate flights to destinations such as Fiji, New Caledonia, Tonga, French Polynesia and other islands in the South Pacific.

The airline had employed a number of people who were previously employed by airlines such as Cathay Pacific and Hong Kong Airlines. They also had purchased an aircraft which was previously in use by Virgin Atlantic.
