About Islas Airways

Islas Airways was a regional airline based in Tenerife, Spain. It flew to 6 destinations around the Canary Islands in Spain. Islas Airways was based at Tenerife North Airport.

The airline was founded in 2002 but didn't begin operations until 2003. Islas Airways operated its flights with a fleet of ATR 72 aircraft - these were ideal for short-haul, regional flights and worked well for the airline's routes.

Unfortunately, in 2012, Islas Airways ceased operations due to financial difficulties. Shortly after this, its operating licence was revoked.
