Gem Air is a commuter airline that operates services out of its hub base, Lemhi County Airport (SMN) in Salmon, the county of Idaho in the US. The airline was founded in 1968 and has regularly scheduled flights between Boise Airport (BOI), McCall Municipal Airport (MYL), Lemhi County Airport (SMN) and Stanley Airport (PSY).

The airline carrier flies to four cities within Idaho. Overall, the airline has a fleet of eight with turboprop aircraft ranging from Brittems, Pipers and Cessnas that can in total carry 59 passengers at one time.

In 1968, the airline was formed as Salmon Air and the name of later changed to Gem Air and the former owners of Salmon Air sold the name to McCall Aviation.

Checked Baggage

Gem Air's passengers are permitted to take 16kg of baggage per person without a charge. Any additional baggage weighing more than 16kg will be charged at the current excess baggage rate.

Cabin Classes

As the airline only has small flights, there is only one cabin class that is offered, which is the basic Economy class. The airline provides you with amenities such as the one free checked piece of baggage, refreshments, drinks and the choice of selecting your seat.
