Buy FlyBAIR with Alternative Airlines

FlyBAIR is a startup carrier, to be based at Bern Airport, in Switzerland. The carrier was set up by Bern Belp Airport, along with other Swiss founders, in order to provide scheduled services to top holiday destinations from Bern. The airline has plans to begin operating flights from Belp Airport in May 2020, when it will commence scheduled passenger flights to a select number of destinations in four countries within Europe: Spain, Greece, and Italy.

FlyBAIR will act as a virtual airline, with the actual flights to be operated by Helvetic Airways.

Baggage Policy

Baggage policies vary depending on type of baggage selected for a flyBAIR flight.

Carry-on Baggage

Each passenger will be allowed a maximum of 1 piece of hand luggage, with a maximum weight of 5 kg. The cabin bag must not exceed the following dimensions: 55 cm x 40 cm x 25 cm (length × width × height). All hand luggage must be able to be easily stored under your seat or in the luggage rack during the flight.

Checked Baggage

Passengers are allowed one piece of carry-on baggage, which must weigh up to 23 km max.

Cabin Classes

The airline only has one class fare: Economy.

The airline only has one cabin: Economy. There is only one class of service, which is entitled ‘FlyBAIR Classic’. There are also seats at the front of the cabin which have extra legroom, which can be booked for an additional fee. This can be done at the time of booking.

What are seats like?

There are 112 comfortable seats in the Economy cabin, which have a seat width of 46 cm.

Check-In

Both online and airport check-in is available for flights with FlyBAIR.

Online Check-in

Online check-in is available through the airline’s check-in webpage. It is possible from 23 to 4 hours before departure.

When passengers check-in online, passenger's will need their booking number in order to proceed.

Airport Check-in

Airport check-in counters open two hours before the scheduled departure and close 45-60 minutes before departure. The airline recommends arriving at the airport at least 60-90 minutes before scheduled departure time.

In-Flight Entertainment & Wi-Fi

There is no onboard entertainment system. Passengers can enjoy magazines which are supplied or bring their own digital devices onboard.

Wi-Fi

There is no onboard WiFi available.

Food & Drink

Economy passengers can enjoy complimentary meals and drinks during their flight.

  • Bern to Mallorca and Sion to Mallorca, from May to October 2020
  • Bern to Menorca route, from May 10 to October 11, 2020
  • Bern to Olbia route, from May 12 to October 10, 2020
  • Bern to Preveza route from May 13 to July 15 and from September 2 to October 14, 2020
