The airport is named after Kempe Gowda I, the founder of Bangalore. United Airlines is currently the only airline flying to the US from Kempegowda International, but there are plans for American Airlines to begin operating regular flights to Seattle from March 2023.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, otherwise known as Mumbai International Airport, is an international airport serving Mumbai and surrounding regions. It is a hub for Air India, Vistara, Go First and IndiGo. The airport was classed as the second busiest airport in India as of 2019 with passenger traffic reaching just over 49 million in 2018. United Airlines is currently the only airline flying to the US from Mumbai Airport with its only US destination being Newark.
