About Air Busan
Air Busan Company Limited, more commonly known as its operating name, Air Busan, is a South Korean Airline which began in 2007 as Busan International Airlines Co., Ltd. This low cost carrier is based in Busanjin-gu, Busan, South Korea, and operates both domestic and international flights from its base in Gimhae International Airport.
Air Busan’s parent company is Asiana Airlines. The company currently has codeshare agreements with All Nippon Airways and Asiana Airlines.
Air Busan Baggage Allowance
Carry-on Baggage
Air Busan permit 10kg of carry-on baggage free of charge. This must fit within the combined dimensions of 115cm (when totalling the width, height and depth).
In addition, certain personal items are permitted. For example, a handbag, coat, umbrella or reading material for the flight.
Checked Baggage
Air Busan have recently changed their free checked baggage allowance. The following information is for tickets issued from April 1st 2019 or after. For tickets issued before this date, check this link here to see baggage allowance rules.
For Domestic Flights, passengers are permitted 15kg of baggage, with a maximum size of 203 cm for combined dimensions.
For International flights which are not to or from the US, passengers are permitted 1 piece of luggage, weighing 15kg and a maximum size of 203 cm for combined dimensions. This applies to Air Busan Super Special Fare, Air Busan Special Fare and Air Busan Regular, or Basic Fares.
For International flights which are not to or from the US, passengers who purchased a promotion ticket or Thunder Deal are not permitted any luggage.
For International flights to or from the US, passengers are permitted 2 pieces of luggage, weighing 23kg and a maximum size of 203 cm for combined dimensions.

Air Busan are yet to offer online check-in for their flights.
Airport Check-In
Air Busan require passengers to check in for their flights at the airport.
For domestic flights, Air Busan recommend that passengers arrive at the airport 40 minutes before departure time, as the check-in desk will close 20 minutes before departure.
For international flights, Air Busan recommend passengers to arrive at the airport 2 hours prior to scheduled departure time. The check-in desk will close 40 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.

Gimhae International Airport
Gimhae International Airport, previously known as Kimhae International Airport, is an airport located in the Gangseo District in Busan, South Korea. It currently has 2 runways, with plans to develop one from a military purpose only to commercial use, as the traffic to the airport is increasing. As of 2017, the airport served nearly 16.5 million passengers. Other airlines which fly to the airport include Jeju Air.
There is currently plans for expansion of the airport, to extend the currently low capacity. Development and construction is due to begin in 2021, with an estimated finish date of 2026.
