The airline was founded in 2015 and began flying in 2016 its maiden aircraft, an Airbus A320. In the past, it has operated flights on behalf of Turkish airline, Corendon Airlines.
Through Alternative Airlines, passengers can buy unsold seats on Orange2Fly at discounted prices. Just use the search form at the top of the page and search for flights between destinations that Orange2Fly have unsold seats available for.
Along with charter flights, the airline also offers ad-hoc flights and wet-leases aircraft to other countries.
As a charter airline, the airline flies between several different destinations across the world. But some of its more popular routes have been between Pristina and destinations in Germany.
Each passenger is given a free carry-on baggage allowance of 10 kg, with a maximum of one piece per person.
Each passenger is given a free checked baggage allowance of 20 kg, with a maximum of one piece per person. The only exception to this is on specific flights, where the checked baggage allowance is stated as otherwise. However, this will be stated at the time of booking and on the e-ticket that passengers receive.
Economy Class is the only cabin class that the airline offers. Passengers can expect a comfortable journey, with the flight crew available to assist with anything that might be needed.
The seats are set out in a 3 x 3 configuration, with standard pitch and width for an Airbus A320 aircraft. There are a total of 180 seats in the cabin.
Passengers are served complimentary snacks, drinks and meals, depending on the length of the flight. On longer flights, passengers are served hot meals, accompanied by a dessert and drink. On shorter flights, passengers are served light snacks, with a choice of beverages.
Online check-in isn't available on Orange2Fly flights.
Airport check-in opens two hours before scheduled flight departure time and closes 35 minutes before. Check-in can be completed by visiting the airline check-in desk with the relevant travel documents at the time of departure.
The airline's fleet consists of all Airbus A320. The airline has up to five of these planes within its fleet at any one time.
Athens International Airport (ATH) is the main international airport in mainland Greece and the hub for Orange2Fly. Orange2Fly has used Athens International as its main hub or, headquarters since it began flying in 2016. However, the airline doesn't use the airport as hub in the same way that a scheduled airline does. Because the airline takes charter requests, the majority of its flights don't depart from the airport like a usual hub. Although, its aircraft are based at the airport the majority of the time.
Other airlines that use Athens International as a hub include Aegean Airlines, Ellinair, Olympic Air, Ryanair and Sky Express. The airport also has flights from airlines such as Air Canada, Aviojet, Cyprus Airways, Ellinair, Finnair, Gulf Air, Scoot, Tarom, Vueling among many others.
