Long Island MacArthur Airport (IATA: ISP) is an airport located in Ronkonkoma, Long Island, New York. The airport is currently owned by the town of Islip, which currently service around 2 million commercial passengers a year.
The airport was first built between 1942 and 1944, where it was called Islip Airport and consisted of three runways and an airport hangar. Soon after, the airport was renamed to MacArthur Airport. It wasn't until 1949 that the first passenger terminal was built, facilitating the airport for commercial passenger services which began in 1960.
The airport is located 60 miles east of Manhattan, and 72 miles west of Montauk Point. It is located on the island of Long Island, in New York, USA. See the airport's location on the interactive map below:
