flyLAL, also known as flyLAL-Lithuanian Airlines, LAL or Lithuanian Airlines, was a Lithuanian airline based at Vilnius International Airport. It was founded in 1991 as Lithuanian Airlines but was renamed to FlyLAL-Lithuanian Airlines in 2005 when it was acquired by LAL. FlyLAL Lithuanian Airlines was founded after the restoration of Lithuania's independence. It played a crucial role in connecting Lithuania with various European destinations. In 2008, however, it unfortunately suffered financial problems and ceased operations in 2009.
When Fly LAL were operating, the airline offered its passengers a frequent flyer programme called Gintarinės mylios, which translates as Amber Miles.
Fly LAL were not part of an airline alliance during the time that they were operating.
Previous to Fly LAL ceasing operations, it is likely that the airline offered a food and drink service onboard its aircraft. The refreshment service onboard Fly LAL Lithuanian Airlines most likely included a hot and cold option as well as alcoholic and soft drinks during the flight.
