The Spanish company that owns the two charter airlines (Evelop and Orbest), Barcelo Group, has decided to merge them into a single airline entity, to be renamed as Iberojet. This decision has been made following a massive surge in demand for seasonal (winter) flights to Havana, Cuba, and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Merging the two carriers to operate under a airline single entity will allow the company to operate more efficiently.
