Child-Friendly Airport Lounges

Travel In Comfort and Satisfaction

When travelling with your children, you want to ensure you have both comfort and entertainment prepared for the journey ahead.

Why choose a child-friendly airport lounge?

The first reason why you should book an airport lounge when you are travelling with kids is security. When travelling as a family, have you ever wanted a few quiet moments to yourself? Away from the busy crowds in the departure lounge and shops, not worrying about child/children getting caught in the crowd and mistakenly being swept along? Then why not pay to go into an airport lounge? Most start from £17.99 for adults (age 12+), from £14.99 for children (age 2-11) and are generally free for infants (age 0-1).

Another reason to book an airport lounge is comfort. Most have nice seating areas with great views of watching planes taking off and landing. If you or your children want to have a nap before the long journey ahead then we suggest booking an airport lounge for privacy and comfort.

The other reason why airport lounges are worth booking is because they offer complimentary food and drink and they serve food appropriate to the time of day, so if you’re there in the morning you are most likely going to be served breakfast.  This is perfect if your children are fussy eaters as there's a big selection and you don't have to worry about paying. There are several complimentary alcoholic beverages as well as more options you can pay for.

We also suggest an airport lounge with little ones for entertainment purposes. Walking through duty-free and browsing shops isn't always fun for children, therefore, when you have lounge access there are soft play areas, games, books and toys. Others include showers, spas, bed cubicles and big sofas. For the adults, some lounges offer free newspapers and wifi. Just make sure you book a family-friendly airport and check the lounge facilities.

Please remember that all lounges ask for smart, casual attire to be worn and for all passengers to behave accordingly. You are allowed to leave and re-enter the lounge as much as you like, which is especially handy if you want to browse the shops. If you're looking to buy an airport lounge pass we have a separate page for information.
