Céleste is a French regional airline due to launch in Brittany in 2022. The airline applied for its Air Operators Certificate in August 2021 with the intention of offering private or public air transport. However, as the airline is still in the early stages of planning information about the airline is limited. It is known that the airline will operate from Morlaix-Ploujean airport on the west coast of France with a plan of capturing the market left by the Air France subsidiary, HOP! departure from the area.

Hub Airport

Morlaix-Ploujean Airport

Morlaix-Ploujean airport is a regional airport in western France, serving the commune of Morlaix in Brittany. The airport is a small regional airport with HOP! currently being the only airline that operates to the commune, however, in 2022 the Air France subsidiary has indicated that this will end. A new airline operating under the name Céleste aims to capture the market left by the airline. The airport is located approximately 10 minutes from the town centre as well as 45 minutes from the larger city of Brest. The airport is well connected by road with the national N12 motorway serving the airport, however, there is no public transport available.

Fleet

As the airline is still planning for the launch, it is still yet to determine which aircraft type they may operate. However, as the airport and airline will both be regional it may be expected that they select a regional turboprop aircraft such as the Bombardier Dash 8, ATR 72 models or an Embraer 170. However, closer to the launch more information will be provided on the airlines fleet.
