About Céleste

Céleste is a French regional airline due to launch in Brittany in 2022. The airline applied for its Air Operators Certificate in August 2021 with the intention of offering private or public air transport. However, as the airline is still in the early stages of planning information about the airline is limited. It is known that the airline will operate from Morlaix-Ploujean airport on the west coast of France with a plan of capturing the market left by the Air France subsidiary, HOP! departure from the area.

Destinations

As of December 2021, Céleste hasn't yet determined its route network. However, it is known that the airline will serve Morlaix commune in Brittany.

Baggage

Carry-on Baggage

As the airline is still in its infancy it is unsure what its cabin baggage policy might be. However, it is expected that you will be allowed to bring a small personal item such as a handbag, camera bag, briefcase or small backpack.

Checked Baggage

The airline additionally is yet to publish its checked luggage policy, so it is unsure if this will be included in the ticket or whether it will be an additional charge.

Check-In Information

Online Check-In

Céleste hasn't yet launched a website or reservations platform so it is unsure if online check-in will be available. However, it is hoped nearer the airlines launch more information will be established.

Airport Check-In

It is anticipated that Céleste will offer airport check-in facilities, the level of the facilities is unknown. However, it is likely that the airline will have check-in desks for you to use at their airports. The airline is yet to state the opening and closing times for their check-in facilities.

Travel Classes

Economy Class

Although Céleste hasn't established its fleet or provided information regarding its cabin classes, it is likely that they will offer economy onboard.

Business Class

As the airline hasn't launched yet it is unsure whether they will offer a business class product. However, as the fleet and route map is likely to be regional a business class product is not likely.

In-flight Entertainment & Wifi

Céleste will operate short domestic services from Brittany so it is unlikely inflight entertainment including wifi will be provided. The airline may offer an inflight magazine for you to read, but we recommend you bring your own entertainment for the flight.

Food & Drink

It is unsure if the airline will offer complimentary drinks and snacks. However, as the airline will be a new regional airline this is not expected. The airline could offer this or a buy onboard service, however, this is unknown.

Frequent Flyer Program

Céleste hasn't yet published their intentions for a frequent flyer program, however, it is expected to not offer one.

Fleet

As the airline is still planning for the launch, it is still yet to determine which aircraft type they may operate. However, as the airport and airline will both be regional it may be expected that they select a regional turboprop aircraft such as the Bombardier Dash 8, ATR 72 models or an Embraer 170. However, closer to the launch more information will be provided on the airlines fleet.

Hub Airport

Morlaix-Ploujean Airport

Morlaix-Ploujean airport is a regional airport in western France, serving the commune of Morlaix in Brittany. The airport is a small regional airport with HOP! currently being the only airline that operates to the commune, however, in 2022 the Air France subsidiary has indicated that this will end. A new airline operating under the name Céleste aims to capture the market left by the airline. The airport is located approximately 10 minutes from the town centre as well as 45 minutes from the larger city of Brest. The airport is well connected by road with the national N12 motorway serving the airport, however, there is no public transport available.
