Stuttgart Airport (IATA: STR) is an international airport located in Stuttgart, Germany. It is currently the sixth-busiest airport in Germany, having served over 10.5 million passengers in 2015. The airport mainly serves flights to European cities, but also has some long-haul services to destinations such as Atlanta.
The airport was originally built in 1939 to replace the former Böblingen Airport. After WWII, the airport was expanded, including an extension of the runway in 1948, 1961 and 1996. The original terminal building from 1938 was also replaced in 2004, meaning there are currently four terminals.
The airport is a hub for Eurowings, and also is a focus city for airlines such as Condor, Lauda, SunExpress Deurschland and TUI fly Deutschland. he airport is located about 13km south of Stuttgart, between the towns of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Filderstadt and Stuttgart.
STR Airport has four terminals, which all contain plenty of places to eat, drink and shop, whilst also having places to relax and wait for your flight.

There are four terminals at this airport, connected by an airside walkway. Each terminal has seperate check-in facilities and entrances.
Terminal 1 is mainly used by Eurowings and Lufthansa.
Terminal 2 is fairly small, only containing 9 check-in counters and a security checkpoint. It is mainly used by Eurowings.
Terminal 3 is found landside, east of Terminal 1 and 2. There are 39 check-in counters, and is used primarily by TUIfly and KLM.
Terminal 4 is in a separate building to the other three terminals, but is still connected by a walkway. This terminal contains 17 check-in counters.

The airport is easily acessible by car from two major highways; the Bundesautobahn 8 (A8) and the Bundesstraße 27 (B27).
There are several coach companies that operate services from the airport to cities such as Esslingen am Neckar, Reutlingen, Tübingen and Kirchheim. There is also a train station on the Stuttgart suburban railway S2, which is 30 minutes away from the main city centre railway station.
