Northwest Seaplanes was founded by Clyde Carlson, and provides scheduled and charter flights on a 6-passenger seaplane.
The airline flies to and from Renton, in the Seattle area, and can stop and 100’s of destinations along the way from Renton to Hakai Pass. Some destinations have seaplane docks and others are small boat transfers.

Baggage Policy
The airline asks passengers to limit baggage to two soft-sided piece of luggage. Total weight should not exceed 25 pounds per person. Baggage in excess of this amount will be checked at an additional charge of $2 per pound, $25 minimum, only on a space available basis.
Cabin Classes
The small seaplanes offer a ‘first-class’ and exclusive feel, with stunning views and informative pilots.
Before flying, the terminal features a comfortable lounge area for passengers. Juice, soft drinks and bottled water are available for purchase. Northwest Seaplanes hats and t-shirts are also available for sale at our Renton Terminal.
Check-In
Northwest Seaplane has different check-in opening and closing times depending on whether your flight is domestic or international, as well as your method of check-in.
Airport location
Renton: On the northwest corner of the Renton Municipal Airport – just minutes from the Eastside and Seattle Tacoma International Airport.
Campbell River: The airline’s Canadian Terminal is located on Campbell River’s Tyee Spit.
Check-In time for Scheduled Flights:
The airlines asks passengers to arrive at the terminal one hour prior to departure for all international departures and 20 minutes for domestic flights. Due to Customs preparations for international flights, a little extra time to required to check-in customers.
Check-In Time for Seaplane Tours:
The airline asks passengers to be at the departure dock at least 30 to 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Due to weather and routing, the aircraft may arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure or as late as 30 minutes after the scheduled departure time.
