Manta Air is a Maldivian domestic commuter airline that operates scheduled flights within the Maldives. The airline carrier operates out of its hub at Dhaalu Airport (DDD). The airline was founded in 2016, they welcomed its first aircraft in November 2018 and officially announced the brand in November 2018. Manta Air went on to then receiving the Air Operators Certificate in February 2019 and officially began operations later that same month with its land-based aircraft operations.

Baggage Policy
Manta Air has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage policy. Your baggage allowance will also depend on the cabin class you fly in.
Carry-on Baggage
The airline's carry-on baggage allowance includes a 7kg cabin class and other items. All baggage must be weighed.
Checked Baggage
Manta Air passengers are permitted to take 22kg of baggage per person in the Comfort Class and 30kg in the Sapphire Class. Baggage allowance is route depending and will be detailed during the booking process. Any additional baggage will be charged at the current excess baggage rate.

Economy Class
The airline mostly operates short flights. In Economy class (called 'Comfort Class'), the airline provides amenities such as the one free checked piece of baggage, snacks, drinks, and the option of choosing your seat.
What are seats like?
Seats are positioned in a 1 x 2 formation depending on the aircraft, ensuring that each passenger will sit by either a window, aisle, or both. The seat pitch is adjustable.
Business Class
As well as 'Comfort', the airline also offers an up upgrade entitled 'Sapphire Class', which is equivalent to a Business Class offering. As well as carry-on baggage, each passenger is can also check-in 30kg of cargo baggage (route depending).
What are seats like?
Seats are customised to provide the best comfort, with additional legroom. Customers can relax and fly in comfort and luxury. The seat pitch is adjustable.

Online check-in before your flight isn't required when travelling with the airline.
Airport Check-in
When passengers arrive at the terminal of the airport, they will hand in their boarding pass and the airline will take care of their luggage. It would take a few minutes for you to get checked in. The airline emphasis that passengers are advised to arrive 2 hours before their scheduled departure time and closes 30 minutes before. The airline cabin crew from there will be ready to help in the check-in and boarding process.

Dhaalu Airport (DDD) is a regional public airport in Dhaalu Atoll, within the Maldives. The airport has a single runway of 1.8m long. The only airline that flies to and from Dhaalu Airport (DDD) is Manta Air.
Fleet
As of January 2022, the airline operates a fleet of state-of-the-art ATR72-600's. These aircraft are brand-new, and the airline has removed some seats in order to provide greater legroom. The airline also operates a fleet of seaplanes, used for charter operations.
