Lulutai Airlines is a new startup state-owned airline, to be based at Tongatapu in Tonga. Lulutai Airlines will be a state-owned airline, providing flights on behalf of the government.
In the first phase of its launch strategy, Lulutai Airlines will start by operating domestic routes within Tonga. It will do so with a S340B(Plus) and Y12 aircraft. The Government of Tonga also owns a MA-60, which Lulutai Airlines will also be able to use after refurbishments to the aircraft are completed.
An alternative to 'REALtonga': REALtonga was a domestic airline that operated domestic flights within Tonga. However, the airline ceased operating in 2020. It is not yet known whether Lulutai Airlines will resume some of the routes previously operated by the REALtonga.

Carry-on Baggage
It is not yet known what the baggage allowance will be for passengers. Prohibited items need to be stored in checked baggage, including any fluid that exceeds 100ml.
Checked Baggage
The carry-on baggage allowance has yet to be announced. Carry-on baggage must fit in the overhead lockers and under the seat in front. No prohibited items should be transported in carry-on baggage. Prohibited items may be confiscated by the immigration department or security staff.

Lulutai Airlines doesn't offer online check in so passengers must check in at the airport.

Online check-in is not currently available.
Airport Check-in
In order to complete check-in, passengers will need to head to the check-in desks at the airport. However, the airline has yet to announce what the recommended check-in times will be.

Fuaʻamotu International Airport (IATA: TBU) is an international airport serving the capital of Tonga, Nukuʻalofa. International airlines to operate regular services to Fuaʻamotu include Air New Zealand and Fiji Airways. Fiji Link and Talofa Airways also operate flights to the airport.

Fleet
The airline will commence flights using a fleet of Saab 340 and Y12 aircraft. The Saab 340 will be the primary aircraft, and is a twin turboprop aircraft, designed to seat at least 30 passengers.
