How to Book Flights for an Unaccompanied Minor

Search for flights

Using our search form at the top of the page, fill in the departure/arrival airports, the dates that the UMNR will be flying and the fare type. Hit the 'Search Flights' button when you're ready.

Select your JetBlue flights

Once the search results have loaded, you'll see all the available flights based on your search criteria. If you'd like to only see flights operated by a specific airline, e.g. JetBlue, you can apply the 'Airline' filter to your results. If JetBlue isn't an option, this may be because there are no flights available with JetBlue based on your search - you can try changing the dates of travel or different airports.

Enter UMNR passenger information and parent/guardian contact details

Enter the passenger details of the UMNR. When you enter the UMNR's Date of Birth, the passenger will automatically be recognised as an Unaccompanied Minor. You'll then need to fill in the contact information for the UMNR's parent or guardian. JetBlue charges a fee for travel of a UMNR which will be automatically applied to your booking - you can see this in the payment breakdown.

We'll send the e-ticket to the booking contact's email address as soon as the booking has been confirmed.

Drop-off and Pickup

Please read the following important information about the drop-off and pick-up procedure for your Unaccompanied Minor flying with JetBlue.

For drop-off:
The parent/guardian must fill out JetBlue's Unaccompanied Minor Form and have three completed copies for each flight with JetBlue that the UMNR is travelling on. The name of the UMNR's parent/guardian must be the same as presented on the parent/guardian's photo ID. Gate passes may be issued based on the TSA's discretion and are not guaranteed - you can check availability for gate passes at the JetBlue airport ticket counter. The parent/guardian is not allowed to leave the airport and is advised to remain at the gate until the UMNR is onboard the aircraft and the aircraft has departed.

For pick up
: The parent/guardian picking up the UMNR must arrive at the airport no later than 30 minutes before the flight is scheduled to arrive. A gate pass can be requested at JetBlue's ticket counter in the airport so that the parent/guardian can pick up the UMNR at the departure gate.

The name, address and cell phone number of the parent/guardian will be required upon drop-off and pick-up of the UMNR.
