Buy P80 Air Flights with Alternative Airlines

P80 Air is a start-up airline based in Thailand. The airline hasn't launched yet but has received its air operator's licence from Thailand's Ministry of Transport. The airline aims to launch flights in the third quarter of 2024.

P80 Air initially intends to operate on the Thailand-China route using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Some of its planned destinations include Macau, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Danang and Hong Kong. It will later expand its fleet to four aircraft within 12 months of launching. It is one of several start-up airlines in Thailand including Really Cool Airlines and Pattaya Airways. P80 Air is being backed by the Mahagitsiri family, lead by Prayut Mahagitsiri, the 12th richest person in Thailand.

Planned Destinations

P80 Air hasn't provided a complete list of its planned destinations yet, however, it does want to focus on the Thailand-China route, primarily flying to destinations such as Macau, Hong Kong, Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh.

Baggage Allowance

P80 Air hasn't announced its specific baggage rules however there are general guidelines you can follow before packing for your trip.

Carry-on Baggage

Most airlines allow passengers to carry 1 piece of cabin baggage and 1 personal item (such as a purse or a laptop bag).

The size and weight restrictions for cabin baggage may vary however the common size limit is around 56 x 36 x 23 cm (22 x 14 x 9 inches), and the weight limit typically cannot exceed 7-10kg (15-22 lbs).

Please note that these rules may differ from the airline's own baggage allowance rules - please contact the airline directly for more accurate information.

Checked Baggage

The number of checked bags allowed will depend on your ticket type, class of service and the airline's specific policy.

Airlines often have a maximum weight limit of 20-23kg per checked baggage (44-50 lbs). The linear dimensions (length + width + height) also cannot exceed 158 cm (62 inches).

Please note that these rules may differ from the airline's own baggage allowance rules - please contact the airline directly for more accurate information.

Cabin Classes

P80 Air aims to operate its flights with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Because its planned destinations are short-haul from its hub airport, it may only offer Economy Class on board.

Economy Class

An economy-class cabin on a Boeing 737-800 features a 3-3 seating configuration with a single aisle in between. A level of reasonable comfort is provided for short to medium-haul flights. The seat pitch is typically around 30 to 32 inches, and seat width may be around 17-18 inches.

In-flight entertainment may be provided on board, depending on whether P80 Air's aircraft is equipped with an in-flight entertainment system.

Complimentary snacks and beverages may be offered during the flight.

In-flight Entertainment

P80 Air hasn't announced if it will provide in-flight entertainment on board. To be on the safe side and avoid disappointment, we recommend bringing your own forms of entertainment with you such as a book to read or your favourite TV shows/movies downloaded onto your personal electronic devices.

Food and Drink

A complimentary snack or beverage may be provided on P80 Air flights however this is not guaranteed and will need to be confirmed directly with the airline once it launches.

Check-In Information

Online Check-In

It's not known whether you can check in online for your P80 Air flights therefore we recommend checking in at the airport.

Airport Check-In

You can check in for your P80 Air flight at the airport via the airline's check-in counters. We recommend arriving at the airport at least 2-3 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart. This is to allow enough time for you to get through baggage drop and security procedures.

Hub Airport

Don Mueang International Airport

P80 Air hasn't announced what airport it will be based at yet, however, due to the type of flights it plans to operate, we can assume it will be based at Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand.

Don Mueang International Airport is one of two major airports in Bangkok, Thailand - the other being Suvarnabhumi Airport. It is one of the oldest international airports in the world and was originally opened as a military airfield during WWII. The airport has two passenger terminals - one for domestic flights and one for international flights.

Don Mueang is a hub for several low-cost airlines such as Nok Air, Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air.

Fleet

For its initial launch, P80 Air will operate flights with a Boeing 737-800. This aircraft is a popular narrow-body, single-aisle commercial aircraft that is used by many airlines worldwide. It can seat up to 189 passengers (with a two-class configuration).

The Boeing 737-800 is known for its fuel efficiency, reliability and versatility - it is ideal for short and medium-haul flights operated by low-cost carriers, such as P80 Air.
