Buy Northern Airlines Flights with Alternative Airlines

Northern Airlines is a Swedish airline flying scheduled passenger flights. The airline hasn't launched yet but is looking to start flying in 2021. Northern Airlines will fly as a full-service airline and will be based at Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN). To begin with, the airline plans to fly to destinations within Europe and the Middle East and has announced Malaga and Beirut as two of its first destinations. In the long-term, the airline has plans to fly to destinations across all continents and has a goal of becoming one of the leading airlines in Sweden, connecting it with the rest of the world.

Northern Airlines will fly routes that are in high-demand and aims to offer service to the highest of standards. Aside from passenger flights, it will also fly cargo.

Baggage Policy

As it's yet to launch, the airline doesn't have information on its baggage allowances. But, as a full-service airline, it's expected that the airline will give both free carry-on baggage and free checked baggage allowance, included in the price of all tickets.

Cabin Classes

Northern Airlines will have 1 cabin class. Other classes are yet to be confirmed.

Economy Class

The airline will have an Economy Class cabin. As a full-service airline, it's expected that even in Economy Class, passengers will have in-flight services such as complimentary food and drink, in-flight entertainment and possibly WIFI. The Economy Class cabin will have a skillfully trained cabin crew, who will be around to attend to all passenger needs throughout the duration of the flight.

Seats will be set out in a 3 x 3 formation.

Business Class

Although not confirmed, as a full-service carrier, the airline is expected to fly with a Business Class cabin for passengers that want to pay extra for an exceptional in-flight experience.

Seats

Seats in Business Class will be set out in a 2 x 2 formation.

In-flight Entertainment & WIFI

Once it has launched long-haul flights, Northern Airlines is expected to have an in-flight entertainment system built into its aircraft with seatback monitors.

Upon launch, when it's only flying short-haul and medium-haul flights, Northern Airlines will likely have an in-flight entertainment system that will be available to access through passengers' personal devices (laptop, tablet or mobile).

The in-flight entertainment system will have a range of movies, TV shows, music, games, flight info and more for passengers to enjoy throughout the flight.

WIFI

As a new full-service airline, the airline is likely to have WIFI built on its planes. The WIFI may be complimentary for higher fare tickets (Business Class) but it's expected that those in Economy Class may have to pay to use WIFI for the duration of the flight.

Food & Drink

As a full-service carrier, passengers are expected to be given complimentary food and drink on short-haul flights and complimentary meals on long-haul flights.

Frequent Flyer Programme

There hasn't been any announcement of a frequent flyer program for Northern Airlines.

Stockholm Arlanda Airport

Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) is the main international airport in Stockholm and Sweden and the hub airport for Northern Airlines. The airline is expected to use Stockholm Arlanda as its hub from launch onwards, with it being the departure airport for the majority of its flights. Stockholm Arlanda Airport has three runways and four terminals — Terminal 2, 3, 4 & 5. Northern Airlines will use either Terminal 2 or Terminal 5, which are both international terminals.

Other airlines that use Stockholm Arlanda as a hub include Norwegian Air Sweden, SAS Scandinavian Airlines and Novair.

In the long-term, the airline wants to connect Stockholm with popular leisure destinations all across the world.

The airline will fly with a fleet of Boeing B737-800 aircraft.
