Buy Nordic Seaplanes flights with Alternative Airlines

Nordic Seaplanes is a Danish airline offering domestic services between Copenhagen and Aarhus. The airline began operating services in 2016 with the aim of cutting down travel times between the cities to 45 minutes. Currently, travelling between the two destinations can take 3-3.5 hours by car or rail or 2.5 hours by air if travelling through the airport. Nordic Seaplanes cut the journey time down making it an efficient and timely service, great for time-sensitive passengers. The airline also offers sightseeing, tours and event flights for Copenhagen and Aarhus.

Baggage Policy

Nordic Seaplanes has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage.

Carry-on Baggage

The airline allows all passengers to bring 1 piece of cabin baggage onboard with them. This shouldn't weigh more than 6kg. However, if you are a member of the airline's loyalty program then you are entitled to bring 12kg of luggage instead.

Checked Baggage

Complimentary checked baggage is not included on any ticket type. However, the airline allows you to bring a suitcase weighing no more than 23kg for DKK 600.

Cabin Classes

Nordic Seaplanes operate a fleet of regional DHC-6-300 aircraft meaning that there isn't enough space within the cabin to offer a dual-class configuration. This means that only an economy class product is offered to passengers. All travellers will receive the same seat and both pre-flight and inflight experience, meaning that the airline only offers one class of travel. If you are a member of the airline's Clip Card program then you can experience an increased level of services such as free breakfast (optional) and increased baggage allowances.

In-flight Entertainment & Wifi

In-flight entertainment and wifi aren't offered throughout the flights as these are only short 45-minute hops. We recommend bringing your own entertainment to keep you occupied.

Check-In

Nordic Seaplanes passengers can check in at the airport or using their online check-in service.

Online Check-in

Nordic Seaplanes offers online check-in via their website. Simply provide your booking reference and surname on the reservations form to do so.

Airport Check-in

The airline also offers check-in facilities at the departure locations if you would prefer this over checking in online. The airline states that they close check-in 20 minutes prior to departure and any late arrivals will be denied boarding and ticket void.

Food & Drink

Nordic Seaplanes don't offer any complimentary drinks or snacks onboard their aircraft as they don't have cabin attendants. The airline allows you to bring your own food and drink onboard instead.

Frequent Flyer Program

Clip Card

Nordic Seaplanes does offer a frequent flyer program for you to join. If you would like to join the program then it will cost DKK 36,000 annually. However, you will receive 10% off of all flights booked with the airline, options for free breakfasts on the first flight out of Aarhus, free parking, an increased luggage allowance and some change and cancellation fees removed.

Airline Alliance

The airline isn't part of any airline alliance.
