Alternative Airlines announced as one of the fastest growing tech companies in the UK
Alternative Airlines has been named in The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100, a prestigious list of the fastest growing technology companies in Britain.
Published by British newspaper The Sunday Times, the Tech Track 100 ranks Britain’s top 100 private tech, digital media and telecoms companies with the fastest-growing sales over the last three years. Ranked number 93 on the 100 strong list, the award recognises Alternative Airlines’ increased growth between 2015 and 2018.
Alternative Airlines’ inclusion on the list is a mark of distinction, recognising the flight-booking website’s dedication to innovation and development. The award highlights Alternative Airlines as a company to watch—previous companies to feature on the list have gone on to lead in their markets, with many becoming household names, including Transferwise, Funding Circle and Gousto.
Commenting on the announcement, Sam Argyle, Managing Director at Alternative Airlines, said: “We are absolutely thrilled with this recognition, a real testament to the hard work and pioneering approach to utilising technology to match the needs of today’s global traveller. Of the thousands of tech companies in Britain, this is an incredible achievement.”
Alternative Airlines - An Innovative Travel Agent
As the only travel company to appear on the 2019 Tech Track Top 100 list, Alternative Airlines has proved that it is possible to carve out a rapidly expanding niche in the highly competitive travel agency industry. Sam added, "We are continually developing our unique technology, providing customers with a quick and convenient flight-booking experience through an easy-to-use interface”.
Alternative Airlines provides an easy flight search and booking platform for business/leisure travellers and travel agents alike, with support provided by the site’s expert customer service team. Customers can quickly and conveniently choose from over 600 airlines, from exclusive smaller regional airlines that fly to remote destinations around the world, to all of the largest global carriers.
Recent growth for the website came after the company rebuilt its online platform, to offer a truly personalised user experience and provide more currency and language options. Alternative Airlines currently offers over 25 different payment methods and has established partnerships with some of the leading global payment providers, including PayPal and Affirm, which allow payment in monthly instalments. Customers can also choose from over 160 localised currencies, including Indian Rupee to Polish Zloty and South African Rand.
