Air Oradea is a planned Romanian regional carrier, which was originally suppose to begin services in the first half of 2022. The airline was proposed by Bihor County officials and the government of Oradea as a means of getting tourists from throughout Romania and the wider Danube area into the region. Oradea does not have a motorway or direct road network connecting the region to the countries capital so the airline hopes to promote connectivity and mobility for Oradea and Romania. The airline has stated that they will operate services from Oradea to Bucharest, once launched with plans to also serve 4 other European hubs, however, these haven't been publicised yet. The airline has not yet determined the fleet of aircraft they wish to use.
Baggage Policy
Air Oradea has not yet released information regarding their carry-on and checked baggage policy.
Carry-on Baggage
The airline hasn't yet published its cabin baggage policy. However, it is expected that 1 item of luggage will be allowed onboard such as a small personal item, like a ladies handbag, briefcase or small backpack.
Checked Baggage
Similarly, the airline hasn't announced their checked baggage policy, if this is included on your ticket or an additional charge. It is hoped that the closer it gets to launch, more information will be available.

As of December 2021, Air Oradea plans to begin services in 2022 to Bucharest 3 times daily (mon - fri) and 2 times daily at weekends. The airline also plans to operate services to other European hubs within the Danube area.

Oradea Airport will be the hub for the airline as routes are planned to arrive at and depart from this airport. The airport already has a range of airports offering connections to other parts of Romania, Europe and Egypt. Currently, you are able to travel to Antalya, Hurghada, Bucharest, Sharm el-Sheikh, Bergamo, Bologna, London (Stansted) and Weeze. The airport is currently served by Air Bucharest, Animawings, Blue Air, FlyEgypt, HiSky, Ryanair and TAROM.
Fleet
The airline is still in the early phases of planning and hasn't yet decided on the aircraft type they will use. The airline is currently in a tendering process, however, this hasn't been finalised.
