The airline was founded in December 2002 and was formerly known as Kobe Airlines.

The coffee is made up of 3 different coffee beans from Guatemala, Colombia and Brazil, and is original to customers flying with Star Flyer. The airline also offers onion soup, fresh apple juice, fruit tea, cold green tea, mineral water and Star Flyer confectionary onboard its flights.

Class Fares
International
Star Flyer international flights operate 3 different fares, Star Comet, Star Planet and Star Universe. Each class fare has different benefits and features which makes finding the best one for you, an easier process.
Star Comet
This fare allows passengers to purchase tickets up to 7 days prior to the departure date, no refunds are accepted, changes can not be made, and passengers are entitled to 30kg of baggage.
Star Planet
The Star Planet fare allows passengers to purchase tickets up to 3 days prior to the departure date, refunds are accepted, changes can not be made, and passengers are entitled to 30kg of baggage.
Please note: Prior to departure, passengers are charged a Refund Handling Fee of 30% of fare. After departure, 50% is charged.
Star Universe
The Star Universe fare allows passengers to purchase tickets up to 60 minutes before the departure time, refunds are accepted, changes can be made up to 60 minutes prior to departure time, and passengers are entitled to 30kg of baggage.
Please note: Prior to departure, passengers are charged a Refund Handling Fee of 10%. After departure, 30% is charged.
In-Flight Entertainment
Star Flyer offers an in-flight entertainment system to keep passengers entertained for the duration of their flight. The in-flight entertainment is played off of LCD Touch Screen Monitors and allows passengers to tune in and out of the programs whenever they want. The programmes available will change monthly to keep things fresh for frequent flyers.
Unaccompanied Minors
Star Flyer's unaccompanied minor service is available to children aged between 6 and 11 years old. It's important that the International Flight Reservation and Information Center are aware of an unaccompanied minor prior to the departure date. It's permitted than an adult is available to drop off and pick up the minor from the designated pick up and drop off points in the airport.

StarFlyer's fleet consists of entirely the ATR 72-500. The airline has a total of 12 aircraft altogether.
