Juneyao Airlines is a regional Chinese airline based in Changning District, Shanghai. The airline was founded in 2005 as a subsidiary of Shanghai JuneYao and began operations in September 2006.
The airline currently operates scheduled passenger flights throughout China, as well as to South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan the Philippines, Singapore Finland and Macau. The CPM caters primarily to LCCs and hybrid airlines whose route networks complement those of Star Alliance. The airline is part of Star Alliance and was its first Connecting Partner.
Juneyao Airlines has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage.
Carry-on baggage must not weigh more than 5kg and must fit within the dimensions of 20cm x 40 cm x 55cm.
Please note that carry-on baggage must fit inside the overhead lockers above you or under the seat in front. Any baggage that exceeds the airline's baggage policy will be subject to excess fees.
The free baggage allowance (including both checked and unchecked luggage) for Juneyao First Class passengers is 40kg. For Business Class the limit is 30kg and for Economy Class, the limit is 20kg. The bag must not exceed 40cm x 60cm x 100cm. Each baggage piece of the checked baggage cannot exceed 50 kg in weight or 100 × 60 × 40cm in volume.

Economy class seats with this airline are simple yet effective. Each seat has enough legroom and space between other seats to ensure you can have a comfortable journey. Each seat also comes with its own cushion to maximise comfort. On flights where the duration is long enough, food and drink will be served. There is no in-flight entertainment system or wifi included in this service.
In modern aircraft, such as the Boeing Dreamliner, seats are in a 3-3-3 formation, with a 32-inch seat pitch. Passengers also enjoy an HD Panasonic screen and adjustable headrest in economy class.
The service and seats that are provided on Juneyao airlines business class will depend on what aircraft you are flying in. For example, on the Airbus A320, passengers enjoy comfortable leather seats which have a good amount of spacious room between seats.
If flying business class in one of the more modern planes, such as the Boeing 787-9 planes, passengers have individual seats situated in a 1-2-1 configuration meaning all passengers have aisle access combined with maximum privacy. In addition, these seats recline fully to form a flat bed with massage functions.
Passengers flying with Juneyao Airlines can check in either online or at the airport.
Passengers can check in online by visiting the Juneyao Airlines page, selecting 'seat & check-in' and entering their flight details. Web check-in opens between 48—24 hours before scheduled departure time and closes 2 hours—45 minutes before. This will differ depending on the route that you're flying.
Passengers can check in at the airport by visiting a check-in agent at the check-in counter. For international flights, Juenyao Air will open its check-in desks 120 minutes prior to the flight departure time. For domestic flights, check-in desks will open 45 minutes before the flight departure time.
Juneyao Airlines serves a number of delicious meals on board tailored to passengers' needs. Juneyao Airlines serves meals including noodles with food, snacks and fast foods. Meals will be served depending on the length of you're journey. If you don't qualify for a meal, then there will be a number of snacks and drinks on board.
If you're flying to Urumqi and Yinchuan, then Muslim food will also be available in order to cater to the diet of passengers. On all flights, there will also be a number of Vegetarian options.
