About
AirAsia Cambodia is a proposed airline by Malaysia's low-cost carrier group, AirAsia. The brand was proposed to Cambodia's Council of Ministers and is designed to offer flights to travellers from Malaysia to Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville. AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes stated Cambodia's Government offered the group "a 100% licence" to operate the Cambodian subsidiary. AirAsia is expected to release further details on the proposed LCC, after it receives approval.
The first plans to launch AirAsia Cambodia were reported in 2017. However, plans are yet to materialise and the AirAsia group is still working on a launch date.
