Airlines That Allow Skateboards as Carry-on
Listed below are some of the airlines that allow you to bring a skateboard as carry-on baggage on board.
Southwest Airlines
When flying with Southwest Airlines you'll be able to take your skateboard on board as normal carry-on baggage. However, Southwest does advise that you remove the wheels on the skateboard or store the skateboard wheels up so the skateboard doesn't roll across the aircraft and disrupt the flight.
United Airlines
United Airlines is another US airline that lets you bring your skateboard with you on board. United Airlines allows you to bring your skateboard as normal carry-on baggage or checked baggage. However, if you do exceed the airline's baggage policy size dimensions and weight limitations you'll be subject to extra fees.
Lufthansa
Skateboards are allowed on Lufthansa flights as long as it doesn't exceed 8kg / 17lbs in weight and 55cm x 40cm x 23cm in size. If you decide to bring your skateboard on Lufthansa flights please note that this will be the only carry-on you'll be allowed to bring with you on board.
Turkish Airlines
You'll be allowed to bring a skateboard with you on Turkish Airlines flights as long as it doesn't exceed 8kg. Your skateboard counts as a carry-on bag, meaning that you won't be allowed to bring any other bags with you on the flight.

STEP 1
Using the search form, at the top of the page, enter the departure and arrival destinations as well as the dates you wish to travel, the number of passengers, and the cabin class you want to fly in. Then hit the 'Search Flights' button.
STEP 2
You'll then be shown all the available flights according to the information you entered in the search box. If you wish to fly with a specific airline you can use the 'Airlines' drop-down tab to filter down your search.
STEP 3
Once you've found the perfect flight for you 'Confirm Selection' and proceed to the next page.
STEP 4
Then enter your passenger and contact details on this page.
To add a skateboard to your booking, scroll down to the 'Special Baggage' section and select 'View Special Baggage' options. Add all the extras that you need.
STEP 5
In order to add a skateboard to your booking press the '+' button next to the skateboard baggage option.
STEP 6
Once you've added a skateboard to your booking, head over to the payment section and secure your booking the way you want.
