US-Bangla Airlines is a privately-owned Bangladeshi airline based at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The airline started its operation in July 2014, initially operating to only two domestic cities within Bangladesh — Shah Amanat International Airport (CGP), Chittagong, and Jessore Airport (JSR), Jessore. Before the end of the year, US-Bangla Airlines doubled its flight network, launching international flights to both Cox's Bazar Airport (CXB), Cox's Bazar, and Saidpur Airport (SPD), Saidpur.
In July 2016 — two years after the airline's launch — US-Bangla Airlines launched its first services to international destinations, such as Singapore and Dubai. The airline now flies to a total of 19 different destinations from its hub in Dhaka, made up of 8 domestic cities and 11 international cities. The Bangladeshi carrier's fleet currently consists of seven Boeing 737-800, seven ATR 72s and two Dash 8-400s, in addition to 16 more aircraft on order including a Boeing 737 MAX.
The airline is the largest private airline in Bangladesh in terms of fleet size and is the second-largest airline after Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the flag carrier of Bangladesh.
US-Bangla Airlines has different baggage policy, including weights and sizes for carry-on and checked baggage.
Passengers flying with US-Bangla Airlines are allowed one item of carry-on baggage per customer. The baggage must be no heavier than the 7 kilograms weight allowance and must not exceed the dimensions of 15 x 22 x 3 cm (6 x 8 x 14 in). This applies to adults, children, and infants on both international and domestic flights.
On international flights, US-Bangla Airlines passengers are allowed one item of checked baggage per customer. Economy class passengers checked baggage must not exceed 20 kilograms in weight, while Business class passengers have a 30 kilograms weight allowance. This applies to both adults and children. Infant baggage must not exceed a weight of 10 kilograms for both Business and Economy classes. All baggage must not exceed the dimensions of 40 x 60 x 100 cm (15x24x40 in).
On domestic flights, adults and children for all classes are allowed 20 kilograms of checked baggage. Infants are allowed 10 kilograms of checked baggage. All checked baggage must not exceed the dimensions of 40 x 60 x 100 cm (15x24x40 in).
