Every four years, the world stops for football. In 2026, the World Cup is landing in North America. For the first time ever, the tournament will be spread across 16 cities in three countries: the United States, Canada and Mexico. Expect wall-to-wall excitement from 11 June to 19 July 2026.

The World Cup has been going strong since 1930, when Uruguay hosted and took home the first trophy. Back then, just 13 countries played. Fast forward to 2018, and that number had jumped to 32. And in 2026, it’s growing again - with more teams, more matches and even more reasons to fly.

Here’s where the action’s happening:

• USA: Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle
• Canada: Toronto, Vancouver

The final is set for 19 July 2026, but good luck guessing the winner just yet.

Looking further ahead, Morocco, Spain and Portugal are sharing hosting duties in 2030, and Saudi Arabia will take the stage in 2034.
