Save time
As Egypt stretches over 1 million square kilometres, domestic flights can help bridge the vast distances between major cities in a fraction of the time that it would take to travel by car, bus or train. For example, it would take you about 10 hours to drive from Luxor's Valley of the Kings to Cairo - with a domestic flight, it'll only take about an hour.
Better connections
Egyptair, Nile Air and other domestic Egyptian airlines connect many major tourist hubs together. This includes connections between Red Sea resorts (Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh) and historical sites like Cairo, Luxor and Aswan. Domestic air travel allows you to conveniently hop between each Egyptian city/town without lengthy ground travel.
Comfort and convenience
Long road trips can be fun at first, but after a few hours, especially under Egypt's scorching hot sun, it can become a bit unbearable. Opt for comfortable domestic flights instead - many airlines will have aircon on board as well as in-flight entertainment and complimentary refreshments (airline dependent).
