Alternative Airlines officially named a 2026 UK's Best Workplace™ for Women

Alternative Airlines is excited to share that it’s been named one of the 2026 UK’s Best Workplaces for Women™ by Great Place to Work®! This recognition is a strong reflection of how the company promotes a supportive and inclusive culture where every voice is heard.

Alternative Airlines, the UK-based global flight booking site, is proud to have ranked 71st on the list of top workplaces for Women. With women accounting for 66% of the company's workforce, including 17% of those in a Managerial role.

Alternative Airlines earned this recognition based on an independent survey of employees, conducted by Great Place to Work® in 2025. Results showed strong scores, with 98% of women stating people are treated fairly regardless of gender, and 91% of women within the organisation saying Alternative Airlines is a Great Place to Work.

Some of the feedback from the independent internal survey included: "There is a very inclusive work environment at Alternative Airlines; every employee is treated fairly and with respect, and there are no gender boundaries. The team here are super supportive and flexible when it comes to sorting childcare and the overall work-life balance, a real highlight that comes with working here”.

Alternative Airlines recognises the diverse needs and responsibilities that women often balance in their personal and professional lives. To aid this work-life balance, the company prides itself on its flexible approach to work, offering remote working, part-time opportunities and flexible hours. This adaptability helps female employees to manage their commitments effectively, encouraging a healthy integration of work and personal life.

Shelley Tasker, who is leading on Alternative Airlines' internal initiatives to maintain gender equality within the company, further added: “We want to ensure the whole business continues to be educated on equality, aligned on important areas like parental policies and pay equity.
