Mahan Airlines, which operates under the name Mahan Air is an airline based in Tehran. The airline was established in 1991 and began operations in 1992 as Iran's first private airline. Around 5.4 million passengers flew with the airline in 2015 on its scheduled services to destinations in Europe, the Far East and the Middle East.

Mahan Air business Class passengers are permitted a carry-on baggage allowance of 7kg. Economy Class passengers flying Mahan Air are permitted a carry-on baggage allowance of 5kg. Hand baggage should be no greater than 23cm x 40cm x 55cm.
Check baggage should not exceed 30kg in weight nor have dimensions greater than 158cm linear cm.
Mahan Air has 2 cabin classes - Economy and Business class.
Economy Class is Mahan Air's most affordable cabin class.
Mahan Air's Economy Class cabin crew are expertly trained to attend to passengers and ensure passenger safety throughout the duration of the flight.
Each passenger can choose from a selection of beverages and snacks from the airline's inflight menu.
Each Economy Class cabin is fitted with a 42-inch screen which shows live pilot camera footage of take-off and landing.
Mahan Air Economy Class seats have a pitch of 31-inches to ensure ample comfort and legroom for each passenger.
Mahan Air doesn't have a Premium Economy cabin.
Business Class is Mahan Air's greatest cabin class with its highest standard of service.
Business Class passengers will be looked after by the airline's cabin crew who have been specifically trained to deliver an exceptional standard of service that is aimed to exceed Business Class passenger expectations.
Both Iranian and international cuisine is prepared at the airline's superb catering facility for passengers to indulge in onboard. The full inflight menu comes paired with a carefully selected drinks menu of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
All Business Class cabins are fitted with a 42-inch LED TV screen which has a live camera showing take-off and landing from the cockpit.
Additionally, on long-haul international flights, each passenger can watch a range of films and entertainment on a personal tv monitor and are given a Business Class amenity kit, as well as a blanket and pillow.
Business Class are designed to give extra comfort. Seats have a fully adjustable headrest and footrest and provide extra legroom so passengers can stretch out.
Mahan Air doesn't have a First Class cabin. For those looking to upgrade from Economy Class, we suggest taking a look at Business Class.
Online check-in is available for Mahan Air flights, however if you're unable to check-in online you can check-in at the airport.
Online check-in is available from 24 hours before flight departure and closes 90 minutes prior. For passengers flying international routes with Mahan Air, online check-in is only available for passengers traveling to Imam Khomeini airport. On domestic routes within Iran, online check-in is a only available for passengers flying from Kerman and Shiraz, Ahvaz, Zahedan and Qeshm, Sari and Tehran, Mehrabad, Bandar Abbas, Mashhad, Khorramabad and Ilam, Sirjan and Isfahan.
