Green Africa Airways is a Nigerian airline that is based at Lagos Muhammed International Airport (LOS). The airline launched in August 2021, it received its air traffic license from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority in early 2016 and later received its Air Service License in May 2018.
In December 2018, Green Africa Airways signed an order with Boeing for 100 737 MAX 8 aircraft. Green Africa Airways plans to offer flights within Nigeria and then later expand to the entire African continent. Green Africa Airways' CEO, Babawande Afolabi, is hoping to build a world-class airline to increase air travel opportunities for Nigerian passengers.
The Nigerian airline serves destinations domestically and has plans to expand and service across the African continent.

If you're planning to fly with Green Africa Airways, you'll need to have a look at the airline's baggage policies. There are certain rules and restrictions for both carry-on and checked baggage.
Carry-on baggage allowance for all fare-paying passengers is 7kg and a personal item such as a backpack, a purse or a laptop. Items onboard the aircraft must not exceed 55cm x 40cm x 24cm.
Infants are permitted to one piece of carry-on baggage weighing no more than 5kg.
Passengers must make sure that their carry-on baggage doesn't contain any prohibited items including any fluid exceeding 100ml and items containing fluid must be placed in a plastic bag for security check.
Checked baggage allowance depends on the ticket purchased by the passenger. gSaver passengers can have checked baggage for a fee.
Classic passengers are entitled to 15kg of checked baggage.
Flex passengers receive 20kg of checked baggage.
Passengers travelling with infants have an excess of 5kg of checked baggage.
Baggage exceeding 32kg cannot be transported as checked baggage and it would be treated as cargo. As of June 2020, excess baggage can only be added at the airport.
Green Africa Airways fares are divided into three categories including Saver Classic and Flex.
Saver passengers will only receive a free carry-on baggage.
Classic passengers are entitled to a free carry-on baggage and a 15kg checked baggage and a free standard seat.
Flex passengers get a free carry-on baggage and a 20kg checked baggage and a free seat across all seat zones.
If you'd like to stay connected in the air, you won't be able to when flying with Green Africa Airways as Wi-Fi is not provided onboard.
With Green Africa Airways, you can check in at the airport or online. The opening and closing times for check-in differ for both online and airport check-in.
Online check-in is now available for Green Africa Airways flights.
gClassic and gFlex passengers:
Online check-in opens 48 hours up until 3 hours before takeoff.
Online check-in opens 24 hours up until 3 hours before departure.
Airport check-in counters open two hours before the scheduled departure time and the check-in deadline is stated on the booking confirmation.
Passengers must check-in before the check-in deadline or the airline may cancel the booking. Passengers must also board the aircraft 30 minutes before the established departure time.
Green Africa Airways offers a number of special services to accommodate its passenger's needs.
Green Africa Airways permits children from the age of 12 to travel alone as an unaccompanied minor. However, at this moment in time we don't accept Green Africa Airways doesn't accept unaccompanied minors for travel at this time.
