Am I eligible to pay later for my flights?
Eligibility requirements will vary by provider. However, you can expect all to require the following:
- Be aged 18 or over
- Have a valid mobile number
- Own a credit/debit card that can be used to pay for flights
- Be a resident of one of the countries we offer a pay-later partner in
Your credit score and the cost of your flights can also impact eligibility.
What happens after I've booked flights with a buy now, pay later provider?
Once you have booked your flights, chosen your preferred payment plan and made your first payment with your chosen buy now, pay later partner at checkout, your e-ticket will be instantly sent to you.
If you don't receive your ticket instantly, don't worry as we often run procedural checks before sending you your ticket. You will always receive your ticket within 24 hours and we will keep you updated on when it should arrive.
The remaining balance of your payment plan will be paid on the agreed dates of your pay-later schedule. Your payment plan may end after your flight departure date. If this is the case, you'll board your flights before you've paid in full and continue payments after you've travelled.
Are there any European options not available at checkout?

What happens if I need to cancel my flight and I have used a buy now, pay later provider?
You can cancel your flights and may still be refunded even if you purchased your tickets with a buy, now pay later partner.
To do this, you must have booked a refundable ticket or added Alternative Airlines' cancellation protection, which lets you cancel and be refunded in the event of an emergency.
Is pay later travel safe?
Purchasing flights with a buy now pay later partner at Alternative Airlines is completely safe.
Alternative Airlines is an IATA-accredited travel agency that works only with verified payment providers, and all transactions are encrypted.
All flights booked through us are 100% valid and ticketed through our airline providers.
Are there any interest fees?
Many of our buy now, pay later plans are interest-free with no additional costs.
However, some of our providers, typically the ones offering long-term plans, will charge interest. This will be clearly communicated to you at checkout.
If you're late with your payments or miss them entirely, you may be charged a late fee.
