Royal Air Philippines is a budget airline based in the Philippines that began operations in 2018. It is a subsidiary of Royal Air Charter Service which was established in 2002 as a chartered airline. Royal Air Philippines operates domestic flights in the Philippines as well as international flights to other countries in Asia including Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea and Taiwan. The airline's hub is Clark International Airport, situated in the province of Pampanga, Philippines.
In 2002, the airline started as a charter airline, initially focusing on domestic and international chartered flights. In 2017, the airline received a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity from the Civil Aeronautics Board, allowing it to offer regular commercial flights. The next year, it launched its first scheduled daily flight between Cebu and Macau and eventually marked a major milestone later in 2018 with its inaugural commercial domestic flight from Clark International Airport to Caticlan Airport, the gateway to Boracay Island. This ultimately signified its official entry into the budget airline market.
By 2020, the airline had expanded its fleet with the introduction of Airbus A319/A320 jets - this allowed the airline to carry more passengers and offer long-haul routes.
Baggage Policy
Royal Air Philippines has varying rules for carry-on and checked baggage allowance.
Carry-on Baggage
Carry-on baggage must fit the overhead lockers or under the seat in front, no prohibited items are allowed onboard including any fluid exceeding 100ml. Any prohibited items found at airport security would be confiscated by the staff.
Checked Baggage
Any baggage exceeding 32kg would not be accepted by the airline due to international health and safety regulations. Oversized baggage wouldn't be accepted by the airline as well, but it may be accepted by the airline as oversized cargo.

The airline offers a selection of pre-packaged snacks and light meals, such as sandwiches, salads, pastries and instant noodles. Royal Air Philippines doesn't offer in-flight entertainment on any of its flights - this is so that it can keep its ticket prices as low as possible, eliminating non-essential amenities.
