About Ocean
Ocean, not to be confused with Ocean Airlines which ceased operations in April 2008, was a proposed subsidiary airline of Lufthansa. In 2020 it was announced that Lufthansa had plans to launch a new airline to serve international destinations from Germany, including from Frankfurt and Dusseldorf. 'Ocean' was the original brand name for this new subsidiary. However, in January 2021, it was announced that the startup would, instead, launch under a new brand name: ‘Eurowings Discover’.

Destinations
The destinations for Ocean (now called Eurowings Discover) hadn't been announced but the airline was applying to fly from Frankfurt, Munich and Dusseldorf. The airline was planning to operate long-haul routes but it was unclear which region the airline was operating to.
Baggage Allowance
Carry-on Baggage
The airline hadn't announced any carry-on baggage allowance before it rebranded.
Generally, carry-on baggage must fit in the overhead lockers and under the seat in front. No prohibited items should be in carry-on baggage and must store them in the checked baggage unless the item is banned by the destination country. Prohibition items found by airport security or by the immigration department upon arrival at the airport could be confiscated.
Checked Baggage
Details for checked baggage allowance hadn't been announced before the rebrand.
Generally, checked baggage cannot weigh over 32kg due to international health and safety regulations and it must not exceed the permitted size allowance.
Baggage exceeding the baggage allowance is subject to extra fees. Excess baggage can be added to the booking when buying flights with Alternative Airlines. Passengers booked with us can also contact our customer service team.

Online check-in wasn't available for customers to check-in before the rebrand.
Airport Check-In
As a general rule, passengers should arrive at the airport two hours before the scheduled departure time to allow plenty of time for check-in, airport security and boarding. The airline reserves the right to refuse to board any passengers who are late for check-in.
Passengers should report to the airline check-in counters as soon as the passport arrives at the airport. Airline check-in counters are labelled with the airline name and logo and the location is listed on the departure information board.
