Air Demerara is a startup airline based in Guyana (Co‑operative Republic of Guyana), a nation in South America. It was incorporated in June of 2019, with the support of the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). The airline will be focused on corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability, and will dedicate a percentage of ticket sales to offset carbon emissions. Air Demerara is also partnering with the Government of Guyana and the Ministry of Forestry to dedicate a percentage of each ticket sale to the country’s forest conservation efforts.
The airline will operate both regional flights within the country, as well as international flights to between Guyana and the Caribbean, North America and Brazil. Air Demerara will be based at Cheddi Jagan International Airport and the Eugene F Correia International Airport at Ogle.

Jagan International Airport
Cheddi Jagan International Airport (IATA: GEO) is the national airport of Guyana, located near the city of Timehri. It is the largest airport in the country, and serves Guyana's capital, Georgetown. The following airlines operate international flights to the airport: American Airlines, Caribbean Airlines, Copa Airlines, JetBlue, and Surinam Airways.
Eugene F Correia International Airport
Eugene F. Correia International Airport (IATA: OGL) is located east of the capital, Georgetown. It is the smaller of the two airports serving Georgetown, with only a small list of airlines operating passenger flights. This includes LIAT, which operates scheduled passenger flights from the airport to Barbados. There are two domestic airlines that also operate from the airport: Gum Air, Roraima Airways and Trans Guyana Airways.
