Trans Guyana Airways Limited is a small, regional Guyanese airline. The airline commenced operations in 1956 in Georgetown (Guyana) using a single float aeroplane.
Since then Trans Guyana Airways is a leading domestic commercial airline in Guyana and works in cooperation with Gum Air to provide a weekly scheduled service between Paramaribo (Suriname) and Georgetown (Guyana). The service operates 7 days a week between Eugene F. Correira International Airport (OGL) and Zorg en Hoop Airport (ORG).
Baggage Policy
Trans Guyana Airways has different carry-on and checked baggage. Your baggage allowance will depend on the destination you fly to/from.
Carry-on Baggage
Each fare-paying passenger is entitled to one piece of 4.5kg (10lbs) carry-on baggage onboard the aircraft. The size of the carry-on baggage must not exceed 18cm x 30cm x 33cm (7" x 12" x 13") in three dimensions, so it must fit under the seat in front. These items could be a small backpack, a laptop, a camera or a handbag.
Any larger items must be transported as checked baggage.
No prohibited items are allowed onboard including any fluid exceeding 100ml. Prohibited items found by airport security would be confiscated.
Checked Baggage
Checked baggage allowance depends on the route as different aircraft have various restrictions.
Guyana - Lethem (Beech 1900D Aircraft): Combined cabin and checked baggage weight is 9kg (20lbs)
Suriname - Johan Pengel International Airport (Beech 1900D Aircraft): Combined cabin and checked baggage weight is 15kg (33lbs)
Suriname - Zorg en Hoop Airfield (Cessna C208B Grand Caravan Aircraft): Combined cabin and checked baggage weight is 15kg (33lbs)
Check-In
Trans Guyana Airways passengers can check-in online and at the airport.
Online Check-in
Online check-in is available on the airline website. Web check-in is recommended to reduce queuing time at the airport. Passengers would be able to receive their boarding pass once check-in is done one.
Passengers do not check-in online must check-in at the airport.
Airport Check-in
Passengers should arrive at the departure airport two hours before the established departure time. Once arrived at the airport, please report to the airline check-in counter as soon as possible to check-in for your flight. Passengers who are late for check-in may be denied boarding as a result.

Eugene F. Correira International Airport (OGL) is located on the coast of Guyana. It is an international airport, with a weekly service to Barbados (Spain) operated by LIAT. Besides Tran Guyana Airways, Gum Air and Roraima Airways are the only other airlines to use the airport.
