Holidaymakers considering a break in Africa may have a greater number of transport routes available to them in the future as TAAG Angola has unveiled plans to offer flights to the US.
Chairperson of the firm's administration board Pimentel Araujo, told Angolan news provider Angop that this move will involve inspectors from the US Aviation Federation visiting the African nation.
He made the revelations as TAAG Angola launched new flights to Luanda from Portugal's Porto.
However, despite the addition of this European route to its schedule, Mr Araujo asserted that there are no plans to operate in other destinations such as Frankfurt or Paris.
It is hoped that the new flights to the US, which could be perfect for business travellers, will be available within the next two years.
Earlier this month, the firm announced that its flights to Beijing will resume in August, which is one month later than the company had originally intended.
