Qatar Airways is the national airline of the State of Qatar with its international hub at Doha Airport.

Qatar Airways Fleet

Qatar Airways is planning to double its current fleet size by 2013.

They already have, on order, A380 double decker aircraft, due for delivery in 2012. These will be joined by 60 Boeing 787 "Dreamliners" and 32 Boeing 777's, as well as 80 Airbus A350's.

Expanding carrier, Qatar airways has expanded its East African network with additional frequencies from Doha to Nairobi and Dar es Salaam from January 02nd 2012.

The very popular daily Nairobi to Doha service has just increased to 12-flights-a-week and, from January 3, an additional two flights, will make the service a convenient double daily. Dar Es Salaam, the capital of neighbouring Tanzania is increased from a daily flight to 11 flights a week from January 2, with another frequency planned from February 14th. Both services will be flown by Qatar Airways Airbus A320 aircraft, with 12 seats in Business Class and 132 in Economy.

Qatar Airways, currently flies from Doha to 14 cities across Africa, including Alexandria, Algiers, Cairo, Luxor, Casablanca, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Khartoum, Lagos, Nairobi, Dar Es Salaam, Seychelles, Tripoli and Tunis.

in a separate announcement Qatar has suggested that this year the airline’s growth will focus on Europe, with four new destinations being introduced; Budapest (January 17), Bucharest (January 17), Brussels (January 31), and Stuttgart (March 6). Then, on April 6th, the airline will launch its 100th route, to the Syrian city of Aleppo.

The airline currently operates a modern fleet of 93 aircraft to 95 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North and South America. The latest addition was the French Mediterranean city of Nice on November 24.

By 2013, Qatar Airways plans to serve 120 destinations worldwide with a fleet of 120 aircraft .
