Flying with Norwegian to The USA

Since January 2021, Norwegian announced that they are suspending all trans-Atlantic flights to the US, namely New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Floria, etc. These flights were reaching London, Amsterdam, Paris, Oslo, Copenhagen and more in Europe.

As of April 2021, there is no other low-cost airline replacing Norwegian Air Shuttle, but it's worth mentioning that the Norwegian founder, Bjørn Tore Larsen, is creating a new airline in Norway called Norse Atlantic Airways.

Norse Atlantic Airways will be a long-haul low-cost airline flying to destinations in the US from Europe including London, Oslo, Paris, Los Angeles, Miami and New York. All sounds familiar?

Norse Atlantic Airways isn't the only excitement coming though, JetBlue is also launching a low-cost service from Boston to London in Summer 2021. Read the section below for more information.

What other airlines fly to the US?

Air France

Air France is offering flights between New York, Boston, Houston, San Francisco, Paris, Lyon and many more connecting flights in Europe. As a member of SkyTeam, Air France has codeshare agreements with Delta, giving passengers even more options when flying with Air France.

British Airways

British Airways offers passengers to fly between London, Manchester, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Florida, etc. It's also codeshared with American Airlines, their oneworld ally, for an extensive network.

Virgin Atlantic

Even though Virgin Atlantic isn't part of any airline alliances, it's a partner of Delta, Air France and KLM, meaning that it's got a global reach internationally and regionally. This partnership offers passengers the option to fly domestically on a connecting flight when they reach the USA/ in Europe.

American Airlines

Being an active member of the oneworld alliance, American Airlines is partnered with British Airways, so passengers in Europe can first fly to the UK and then get onboard an American Airlines flight to the USA. In its network, there are over 95 domestic destinations in the USA, so you can fly to pretty much everywhere!

Delta Air Lines

Delta is offering its customers many flight options from its partnerships with the SkyTeam airlines and its codeshare partners. The nine domestic hubs in America are serving as a gateway for passengers travelling from Europe to the US and connect to other US cities on their subsidiary airline Delta Connection.
