Norse Atlantic Airways is a low-cost, long-haul airline headquartered in Arendal, Norway. The arline was founded in 2021 by Bjorn Kljos, Bjørn Kise and Bjørn Tore Larsen who are former senior persons in Norwegian Air Shuttle and OSM Aviation. The airline is formed after Norwegian Air Shuttle decided to pull from transatlantic operations.

The airline is a long-haul airline flying trans-Atlantic routes to America so it has acquired several Boeing 787 to its fleet. These destinations include Oslo, London, Berlin, Los Angeles, Miami and New York.

The airline has big plans for the future and wants to be listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, having raised over US$24 million from its new shareholders. Norse Atlantic Airways is also planning to operate to other destinations across Europe.

Baggage Policy

Norse Atlantic Airways has different baggage allowance for carry-on and checked baggage.

Carry-on Baggage

You are allowed to bring an under seat bag (45 x 36 x 22cm) free of charge. Hand luggage must fit within the maximum dimensions and weight established by the airline. Any baggage exceeding the limit may be asked to be transported as checked baggage and the airline reserves the right to refuse any items to board for health and safety reasons. These items must fit within the overhead lockers and under the seat.

You can bring a carry-on at an additional cost.

Passengers should ensure that no prohibited items should be stored in their checked baggage except for some dangerous goods.

Checked Baggage

You can add checked baggage at an extra cost before or after booking your flight. Its cheaper to add additional baggage during booking your flight. You baggage options from light checked with 15kg, standard checked with 23kg and heavy checked with 32kg.

Checked baggage must fit within the maximum dimensions and weight established by the airline. Baggage must not exceed 32kg per piece, otherwise, the airline would not accept the item due to international health and safety regulations.

Economy Class

The Economy Cabin in Norse Atlantic Airways includes modern seating, personal on-demand entertainment and a range of delicious foods and drinks. In Economy you can choose from: Economy, Economy Classic or Economy Plus. Economy offers the cheapest fare on-board will the allowance of 1 under seat bag whereas Economy Plus allows many perks such as a checked baggage, priority boarding, 1 meal, under seat bag.

Premium

In Premium you can choose from a selection: Premium light, Premium Classic and Premium Plus. The Premium cabin offers extra leg room (extra 35% leg room than economy) with comfortable padded seats for a relaxing journey. During your Premium experience you will be offered 2 complimentary meals on all transatlantic services, alongside with on-demand entertainment and free cabin baggage.

In-flight Entertainment & WIFI

Norse Atlantic Airways offers the latest movies and TV shows on demand for you to enjoy. There is something for everyone to enjoy on-board, with old classics to new realeses. Before flying you can check what shows and movies will be available to you on-board.

The airline also offers a USB charger for each passenger.

Food & Drink

Norse Atlantic Airways offers delicious inflight cuisine. Depending on your flight fare, some meals and drinks will be included. However you can still purchase from a range of of soft drinks, hot drinks beverages and snacks.

Online Check-in

You can now check-in online your Norse Atlantic Airways flight. Passengers are advised to check-in online before going to the airport in order to obtain their boarding passes and their seats.

Online check-in can be completed with the booking reference and passenger details.

Airport Check-in

Airport check-in can be done at the airline counters at the airport. When passengers arrived at the airport, they should report to check-in as soon as possible to avoid missing the airline check-in deadline. The location for the check-in counters should be indicated on the airport departure information board. You will be charged an extra fee for checking in at the airport as they will have to print out your boarding pass.

Gatwick Airport opened in 1933 and is located in Crawley, West Sussex, England is a major international airport. In 2018, there was a capacity of 46.1 million passengers at the airport. Gatwick Airport uses its single runway with the length of 3,316 m (10,879 ft). London Gatwick has a secondary runway but this cannot be used in conjunction with its main runway due to close proximity. The airport has 2 terminals:

South Teriminal has over 30 gates. One of its features at the terminal is its modular design, allowing subsequent, phased expansion. London Gatwick Airport was one of the world's first airports with an enclosed pier-based terminal. This allowed passengers to walk under cover to waiting areas near the aircraft.

North Terminal began its construction in the 1980s. At the time it was he largest construction project in South of London with a total costing of £200 million. The North Terminal has expanded nicely, by adding a many aircraft piers. North Terminal also has over 30 gates.

Norse Atlantic Airways is launching flight tickets between London Gatwick and New York. UK passengers will be able to take advantage of the cheap flight tickets to New York, with prices from £256. In August 2022, London Gatwick will also become a base for Norse Atlantic Airways.
