Mongolian carrier Miat has announced that Hong Kong will become the second destination in China that its passengers will be able to fly to.
Every Thursday and Sunday, a Boeing 737-800 aircraft - which will have space for 12 business class flyers and 150 people in economy class - will travel between the Mongolian capital of Ulan Bator and Hong Kong.
Travellers who want to take advantage of the new additions to the Miat schedule will be able to do so from June 2nd onwards.
The inclusion of the new direct flights will make the Chinese destination the second in the country served by Miat - the first being Beijing.
People may be encouraged to book a trip to Mongolia on a Miat flight in light of Lonely Planet's assertion that the country is a "special place for people who enjoy the outdoors and adventure".
The travel information provider described the Asian destination as an "invigorating and exhilarating" place for jet-setters to visit.
