Malaysia Airlines has announced the launch of direct services between Kuala Lumpur and Istanbul starting from October 25th 2009.
The new services will initially operate twice weekly increasing to three times each week as demand increases. The new Malaysia Airlines' flight will leave Kuala Lumpur on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 12:30 and arrive in Istanbul at 06:00 am (local time) on the same day. The return flight will leave Istanbul at 15:00 on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday to arrive in Kuala Lumpur the next morning at 07:05. Dr Amin Khan, Senior General Manager, Network & Revenue Management, Malaysia Airlines said, “We will be de-linking Dubai from Istanbul. Instead, we will be flying direct to Istanbul as we see good potential of the destination. This non-stop service will certainly provide customers with a better product resulting in passengers spending less time on the plane and more time at their destination.”
