Berjaya Air

Berjaya Air are based in Kuala Lumpur and operate regular services within Malaysia and to Thailand and Singapore.

Berjaya Air are owned by and therefore has the backing of the huge Berjaya Group whose interests include leisure and tourism, hotels and property and financial services. The airline operates domestically from Kuala Lumpur to Pangkor Island, Redang Island, Tioman Island as well as internationally to Koh Samui. Singapore is served by regular flights from Redang Island and Tioman Island. Berjaya Air is fast gaining a reputation as one of Malaysia’s premier domestic airlines and has a growing reputation for it’s versatility, efficiency and dedication to delivering the highest possible level of customer service.

The airline operates 48 seater DeHavilland Dash 7 aircraft. The Dash-7 has short landing or take-off (STOL) capabilities which makes them perfect for the short airstrips of the Tioman and Pangkor islands.

Berjaya Air should succeed as it is funded by the enormous Berjaya Group so it’s no real surprise that the airline operates to locations where Berjaya Hotels are to be found. The airline offers a good quality service by highly trained professionals and those who are guests at a Berjaya hotel will see that same high level of quality service reflected throughout the whole of the group’s leisure products. Berjaya Air operates a fairly high frequency across it’s network but with the increasing popularity of it’s resort destinations may in the short term, find it a little difficult to cope with demand until their larger ATR 72, 70 seater aircraft are delivered. After that it’s up, up and away again....
