The National carrier of Colombia, Avianca has commenced flying daily between its hub in Bogota and the regional city of Southwest Colombia, Florencia. The new route will be flown using a 52-seat Fokker F50 aircraft.
Last year the Avianca-TACA Group received unanimous acceptance by airline members and Board of STAR ALLIANCE, to join the largest global network of airlines.
Following this acceptance, Avianca-TACA has started to implement a standardise processe that allow them to offer easy access to routes, destinations and services on the flights of the 27 airlines that currently form the STAR ALLIANCE including airlines such as Lufthansa, United, Continental Airlines, Thai Airways, Air Canada, TAP Portugal, Singapore Airlines, as well as other internationally renowned airlines.
