About Genghis Khan Airlines
Genghis Khan Airlines was an airline based in Inner Mongolia, China, which offered domestic passenger and cargo services. Genghis Khan Airlines was based at Hohhot Baita International Airport and focused on flying to destinations within Inner Mongolia.
The airline planned to operate to 40 different destinations across Inner Mongolia in its first five years of operation.
The airline was founded in 2018, under the name Tinjiao Airlines. In February 2018, the airline gained its business license. Shortly thereafter, it rebranded to Genghis Khan Airlines and gained its Air Operators Certificate (AOC). The airline flew its first flight in July 2019 with a service between Hohhot and Ulanhot.
Genghis Khan Airlines ceased operations in September 2022 and was placed into liquidation.

Baggage
Carry-on Baggage
Passengers were given one piece of 5kg carry-on baggage in Economy Class and two pieces of 5kg checked baggage in Super Economy Class. Carry-on baggage could not exceed 20 cm x 40 cm x 55 cm in size.
Checked Baggage
Passengers were given one free piece of checked baggage with a maximum weight of 20kg in Economy Class and one free piece of checked baggage with a maximum weight of 30kg in Super Economy Class. Baggage had to fit within the dimensions of 40 cm x 60 cm x 100 cm
Excess baggage was available to purchase but no one piece of checked baggage could weigh more than 50kg.

Online check-in was available through the airline's official website. It may have been necessary to translate the page to English to check in. You could check in under the 'self-service' tab.
Airport Check-In
Airport check-in generally opened 90 minutes before the flight was scheduled to depart and closed 30 minutes before the flight was scheduled to depart at smaller airports and 45 minutes before the flight was scheduled to depart at larger airports.

Hub Airport
Hohhot Baita International Airport
Hohhot Baita International Airport is an international in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, China and was the hub airport for Genghis Khan Airlines. The airport is the biggest and busiest airport in Inner Mongolia. Hohhot Baita International Airport opened in 1958 and has since had two expansions. The most recent saw the airport's terminal increase by 55,000 M² and saw it upgrade to have the capabilities to handle larger aircraft, such as the Boeing 747.

Fleet
Genghis Khan Airlines' fleet consisted of entirely Comac ARJ21 aircraft. The airline had 25 in total. In its initial development plan, the airline projected that after eight years it expected its fleet size to double.
