Travelling with a large family

We know that travelling with a large family can sometimes feel overwhelming. One of the best ways to stay organised and avoid any confusion is to book all family members on the same itinerary. This means that everyone in your group is flying on the same flights, at the same times - making it much easier to coordinate and secure seats together.

With our flight search tool, you can add up to 9 passengers to a single booking. Once you choose your flights, the same itinerary will apply to every traveller in your group. That means no worrying about being separated or juggling multiple bookings.

Benefits of booking on the same itinerary:

  • Everyone's flight details (departure times, seat numbers & baggage allowances) are tied together, making check-in smoother.
  • If plans change, it's easier to manage updates or cancellations for the whole group.
  • Airlines are more likely to seat your family together, which is important when travelling with children.
  • You can book flights for the whole family in one go, on one tab.

Flight payment plans for families

Make travel easier with flexible payments

Travelling with family can be incredibly rewarding, but it also requires careful planning - especially if you're travelling with children. From coordinating multiple schedules to managing travel costs, families often need extra flexibility when booking flights. Not to mention, if you're flying with multiple family members, the upfront cost can become pretty overwhelming.

That’s where our partner Slice Pay comes in. Slice Pay helps families secure flights early and spread out the cost over time, with no interest and no debt.

What is Slice Pay?

Slice Pay is a deposit-based payment plan available when you book flights with us - also known as lay-by or layaway flights. It lets you secure your tickets now and pay over time, so you only finish paying when it’s almost time to fly.

You can lock in your fare with a small upfront deposit - starting from just 10% in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Canada and the US. That means you don’t have to miss out on a great deal or dip into your savings to book.

A transparent Hold Price Fee is charged at checkout, clearly shown before you confirm your booking. This small fee covers the convenience of spreading your payments and locking in today’s prices.

The remaining balance is paid off in flexible weekly or fortnightly instalments, with everything settled at least 7 days before departure. No interest, no debt, just a smarter, stress-free way to plan and pay for travel with your family.

Break down the cost of family flights

Example family payment plan with Slice Pay

⭐ Step 1

A family of six (four adults, two kids) is booking return flights from Sydney to Bali for a 14-day trip. They find a Jetstar outbound and Batik Air return flight, costing around $5,420 AUD when booked 4 months in advance.

⭐ Step 2
Instead of paying the full amount upfront, they choose Slice Pay, securing their flights with a 10% deposit of $542 AUD.

⭐ Step 3
With 17 weeks until departure, they opt for a weekly payment plan and will need to complete their payments at least a week before the flight. That means they'll pay around $338 per week for 16 weeks until the balance is cleared.

⭐ Step 4
By the time their trip rolls around, their flights are fully paid - no interest, no debt, and no need to dip into savings. Stress-free travel sorted for the entire family.
