About Sama
Sama Airlines, otherwise known as Sama, was a low-cost carrier based in Saudi Arabia. It was founded in 2007 and headquartered in Dammam where it operated scheduled flights within Saudi Arabia and to select destinations in the Middle East and Asia. Sama launched flights in 2008 with a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft. With this fleet, it initially focused on domestic routes within Saudi Arabia, but later decided to expand to international routes like Dubai, Doha, Beirut and Cairo.
In 2009, Sama went through a major restructuring where the airline's timetables were optimised in an attempt to improve the financial results of the company. Unfortunately, in 2010, Sama was forced to shut down due to financial issues.

Baggage Allowance
Carry-on Baggage
While Sama Airlines was in operation, passengers were allowed to bring one standard piece of cabin baggage weighing no more than 7kg and not exceeding the maximum dimensions of 23 x 34 x 48 cm. Additionally, passengers could carry a coat, handbag or small airport purchases.
Checked Baggage
Each passenger was permitted one piece of checked baggage weighing no more than 20kg.

Sama Airlines had plans to offer online check-in to its passengers, however, it ceased operations before it could offer this service.
Airport Check-In
Passengers had to check in at the airport for flights operated by Sama Airlines. The airline's check-in counters would open 2.5 hours before the scheduled flight departure time and close 45 minutes before takeoff.
Cabin Class
Since Sama Airlines was a low-cost carrier, it only had one cabin class - Economy. This cabin class provided basic amenities and services for passengers at an affordable price.

King Fahd International Airport, also known as Dammam International Airport, is the largest airport in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, and the third-busiest in the country. It is named after the former King of Saudi Arabia, Fah ibn Abdulaziz.
The airport has two terminals - Terminal 1 which serves mostly domestic flights and Terminal 2 which serves mostly international flights. King Fahd International Airport is served by over 80 airlines, including major carriers such as Saudia, Emirates and Etihad Airways.
