ALTERNATIVE AIRLINES ANNOUNCES DIRECT INTEGRATION WITH RIYADH AIR

Integration connects Alternative Airlines directly to Riyadh Air’s modern Offer and Order platform, expanding access to the airline’s growing route network and ancillary services.

LONDON, UK  - Alternative Airlines today announced a direct integration with Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier, giving customers access to the airline’s expanding network, up-to-date fares and a more connected booking experience.

Through the integration, Alternative Airlines connects directly to Riyadh Air’s modern Offer and Order platform, powered by travel technology provider FLYR. The platform forms the digital foundation of Riyadh Air’s commercial operations and establishes a unified order-based model.

The connection gives Alternative Airlines access to real-time airline content and supports more accurate availability, pricing and itinerary information. This includes dynamic fare options, branded products and ancillaries, designed around transparency and customer choice. It will enable the business to enhance its service for a more cohesive customer journey across booking and post-booking servicing, already reflected in Alternative Airlines’ 4.9-star Trustpilot rating.

As a digitally native airline, Riyadh Air has built its commercial platform around modern airline retailing from the outset. The integration strengthens Alternative Airlines’ direct-connectivity strategy and positions the company among the early online travel agencies adopting Riyadh Air’s next-generation distribution capabilities. Riyadh Air officially describes itself as a digitally native carrier, while FLYR identifies its platform as a native Offer and Order architecture.

From launch, customers booking through Alternative Airlines will be able to access Riyadh Air fares alongside ancillary products including seats and baggage. The integration will cover Riyadh Air’s growing network, including services between London and Riyadh and current popular onward connections from Jeddah, Islamabad, and Kuala Lumpur via the airline’s Riyadh hub. The strategic focus on growth between the UK and GCC is of great significance to Alternative Airlines, with their lender partnerships enabling customers across the region to spread the cost of their flights, which is ideal for targeting long-haul travel.

“Riyadh Air’s digital-first, NDC native approach aligns strongly with our ambition to make flight booking simpler, more flexible and more connected for customers, comments Sam Argyle, Managing Director at Alternative Airlines. “The integration process has been seamless and will enable Alternative Airlines to offer Riyadh Air’s growing network, fares and ancillary services, including seats and baggage, while supporting customers throughout the booking and post-booking journey. We’re proud to partner with such an ambitious airline and help make its expanding network accessible to more travellers worldwide.”

"Riyadh Air is building a digitally native airline, and our distribution strategy is centred around flexibility, direct connectivity and modern retailing,” comments Vikas Manra, Director of Indirect Sales at Riyadh Air. “Partnering with a technology-led platform such as Alternative Airlines allows us to extend the reach of our growing network through NDC, while giving customers access to more accurate fares, ancillary services and a seamless booking experience. We are pleased to be working together to make Riyadh Air more accessible to travellers around the world.”
